THE MAT®  APPROACH

ASSESS FOR WEAKNESS

During a session we assess your neuromuscular function by preforming a series of mobility tests and then correlate the limitations in range of motion with muscle tests that can identify which specific muscles are not contracting efficiently.

ACTIVATE MUSCLES

Once a muscle weakness is identified we will precisely activate each muscle weakness through either isometric contractions or specific force application to the origin and insertion points of the affected muscle.

RESTORE FUNCTION

Clients report that their original symptoms greatly decrease after MAT sessions because we worked to re-establish and strengthen the connections between the nervous system and the muscular system.

LIVE A BETTER LIFE

Imagine waking up in the morning without pain, doing yard work effortlessly or picking up your grandkids with ease. MAT can improve your quality of life by giving you the freedom to get back to doing what you love!

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, I came across Muscle Activation Techniques® when I was working with athletes as a personal trainer and coach. I  began using it on clients with complicated issues and the speed at which it helped them return to better physical performances was astounding!

Over the last decade I have progressively been studying MAT® and perfecting my skill-set to become one of the few Masters of Muscle Activation Techniques® in the nation. The modality takes a unique and specific approach to improving movement issues by increasing the load tolerance of weaker muscle tissues, helping them respond better to physical and neuromuscular stress.

Throughout my time as an MAT® practitioner I've been fortunate to work with professional athletes in the NFL, MLB and even members of professional ballet companies. However, I find the most gratification from helping clients overcome recurring or troublesome issues due to muscle inhibition, pain or weakness.

Helping my clients get back on their feet or perform at higher levels is what motivates me to get better every day. I can't wait to help others enjoy their life more!
